Summary: Gives real understanding of the material
Review: Annlee Hines has a real knack for explaining complex concepts in an easy to understand fashion. The book is written in a great conversational style. Not only does it go into full detail about the material covered in the Cisco SAFE Blueprints, it also makes sure you understand the "why" behind the "what". Obviously she agrees with the concept that if you understand what's going on underneath the surface, not just memorize a bunch of facts, you're much more likely to be successful at the test (not to mention building real expertise). I highly recommend the book to anyone pursuing the individual test, the CCSP certification, or a better understanding of network security. If you absorb the information in this book, you may still struggle with the poorly written certification test, but it won't be due to a lack of knowledge or understanding of the material.
