Summary: I passed the test with this book alone.
Review: I passed the CCNA exam by only using this book as a study guide. It maps to the test, has an easy to understand format, and a CD with great tools and testing engine. I recommend this book to all readers looking to pass the CCNA exam.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Passed the test. Great test information!
Review: I passed the test with an 83%. The test was super hard. A lot harder then any of the Microsoft or Novell tests. If you want to pass the test, this book is a must!!!!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great study guide, recommed it to all!!!
Review: If you want to know what is on the test, then this book is for you. If you are lucky enough to have routers, then this book will help you pass the exam. I had no problem passing with an 87% on the test. The test is really hard, but all the information is in there.

Summary: I passed the CCNA exam the first time using only this book!
Review: I passed the test. The reviews are right on! All of the test objectives are right at the begining of each chapter. It is an easy to read format, great test reveiw questions and a CD loaded with great material. I am buying another copy for a co-worker. I think this is the best Sybex book I have seen.

Summary: This is the best book for the CCNA exam!
Review: The review from real readers are right on. The reviews from authors of other books are a joke. You can tell they are written by the same person! I recommend this book highly if trying to pass the CCNA exam. The Cisco press ICRC book is a great reference, but not enough test objectives are covered. This book is clear and concise. A few typos, but not wrong technical information. I recommend buying this book and the ICRC by Cisco press. Between the two, you should be able to pass the test.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent Test Prep
Review: This is a good book to prepare for the exam (I scored 91%). However, I think Cisco's recently published ICRC book is a much better reference guide. If I could only buy one book, it would have to be the Cisco ICRC book

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Excellent "Study Guide"
Review: This book is an excellent "study guide" but lacks depth in some areas (Switching,PPP). The review questions were right on the money. However, don't rely on this book as your only means of study. If you want to really "learn" the material, I recommend the "Intro to Cisco Router Configuration" by Cisco Press, the overly criticized "CCNA" book by Osbourne, and all the Cisco web resources you can get your hands on. The Osbourne book has some errors (not as many as some have stated) but covers areas like ATM LANE better than the Sybex book. The Sybex book is much more readable and more geared to the test I took. I passed the CCNA exam yesterday with a score of 92.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Good Study Guide
Review: This book is straight in line with the exam objectives, which is to say it will tell you exactly what you need to know to pass the test but not necessarily what you need to know to be a functional professional. Beware there are numerous errors of varying severity. Check the website for the errata updates. Also beware that the testing engine simply restates the study questions from the book.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Love it, has everything you need for the test!
Review: This book is right one for helping me study for the CCNA exam. Buy the Cisco Press ICRC by Laura chappel for more in-depth information. However, the ICRC book does not map to the test objetives like this book does. I recommend this book as high as possible for those study for the exam. Remember to get some hands on some routers for practice. Load the CD material, it has some great reference material.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Disappointing--you can find a better way to spend $50.
Review: This book doesn't come close to covering the exam material. I took the exam once already and failed--and I would fail again if I relied on this book. I don't think anyone who is new to this topic should buy this book; start elsewhere. Fortunately, I was able to return this trash to a bookstore that did not realize that this was test preparation material.
