Summary: Great book in combination with the ICRC by Cisco.
Review: I really like the way this book reads. I went through the book and the ICRC book and passed the test. I recommend this book for finding all the information needed for the exam. It is all there.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I also passed the test the first time.
Review: The reviews on this page are right on. After playing with some 1600 and 2500 routers at my friends house, and running through the labs; I then ran through the review questions and passed the test. Great book, great style. I think I am the first CCNA in Atlanta!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Had everything I needed.
Review: This book had everything I found on the test. Go through the review questions, and practice the labs at the end of each chapter.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Passed the CCNA exam, and I am now a CCNA!
Review: Thanks to this book alone, I am a CCNA! I think that it was a very difficult test, and I could not have passed the test without this book.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: I bought all Three and Passed!
Review: Ok, here's my review of the all three Syngress, Sybex, and Cisco Press books. the Syngress works great for quick cramming using the two minute drills at the end of each chapter, and the review questions at the end are summarized very nicely in the Appendix. It looses points for horrible network diagrams. The Sybex is more concise with better examples (screen printouts) of the results of router commands, very clean easier to read. Great for beginners just starting out. The Cisco ICRC book with Laura Chappell as editor makes for a good review. If you've read Laura's books before, you might be dissapointed in this one. It's a nice book but lacks her sense of humour/sarcasm that make it fun to read. My suggestion for those taking the tests, buy all three, considering the cost of exams, why not, besides they look good on the shelf. BTW I passed with 92% and have NEVER worked on a router.

Summary: Stole this from a co-worker and passed the test!
Review: I took this from a co-worker when they weren't looking. They were asking everyone where the book was. I didn't give it back to them for 3 days! By then, I had passed the test! You must go through the review questions! They are harder then the real exam.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This book has everything needed for the exam.
Review: I used this book to study for the exam, and it has all the info needed. I did not get a question that I had not seen already in this book. You should get this book if you are intereseted in CCNA.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I found the material that I was tested on.
Review: I took and failed the CCNA test. I bought this book and found all the information I needed to pass the exam. Going through the review questions is a must. I really liked the writing style and the way the book was formatted. This book is a keeper.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I recommend this book for the CCNA exam.
Review: I looked through the Osborne book first and didn't like it. I then bought this book found that the Sybex book has the information that I saw on the test. The test objectives are listed at the beginning of each chapter, and the review questions are real close to what you can expect to see on the exam. If you want to pass the CCNA or know ICRC, then this book will give you that and more.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I love this book, and you will too.
Review: 99 percent of the reveiws on this page are right on. The 1% is from people who didn't read the book. Anyone who looks into and actually reads this book, will find incredible information. You can tell Todd Lammle has been working with Cisco routers for a long time to get this kind of information in a book. This is the problem with the Osborne book, no experience. If you actually want to learn the nitty gritty of Cisco routers, then this book is for you. I have just ordered his ACRC book due out this month. I can't wait. I read the Cisco ICRC book by Laura Chappel and liked that too. However, the cover has CCNA on it, and that is misleading. It is basic ICRC, that's it. You will need the Sybex CCNA book for test information.
