Rating: Summary: Excellent source of review for the CCNA Review: This book was easy to read, the writers did a very good job of keeping it interesting. However, I disagree with alot of individuals who say buy this book and forget the rest to pass the CCNA. A great compliment to this book is Cisco's CCNA Certification Guide by Odom. Neither is perfect and both cover topics not covered in depth in the other. Both of these books combined with ICRC and a little experience working with Cisco routers and you should be able to pass the CCNA exam with flying colors. This book was one of the better written books I've bought for my CCNA test. It has the fewest errors and won't put you to sleep. The CD that comes with it lacks severely and the self test questions, same in the book as on the CD, are nothing like the actual exam. The questions in this book do not challenge you and are not as detailed as they could be. But the actual book itself has very good structure, with in depth details on most all topics. Include this book in your library, whether you intend on taking the CCNA exam or just want a decent reference manual. I would have given the book 5 stars if the CD and practice questions included were not so poorly put together.
Rating: Summary: Gotta have it. I passed the exam the first time. Review: I passed the exam using only this book as a reference. It is perfect for the CCNA exam.
Rating: Summary: OK book to review for CCNA exam but not for serious learning Review: This book focuses mainly on last minute preparation for the CCNA exam, more like an exam cram book. Beside that, you will not LEARN a lot about cisco router configuration. There are limited information on every topic.
Rating: Summary: You will pass the exam with this book + hands on to a 2514 Review: I work for a Fortune 100 company and had 2 years Cisco hands on before taking the test. This book solidifies concepts in your mind very well. All things on the exam were covered in the book - no suprises. This is an excellent book.
Rating: Summary: excellent book for CCNA prep Review: I used only this book for CCNA test, and passed with flying colors. Questions given in book are of great quality. I recommend this book for someone preparing for CCNA. Donot waste your money on anything else, as this alone book can get you CCNA>
Rating: Summary: Perfect book for CCNA Review: I passed the CCNA Exam using this book by Lammle. It's 100% relevant for the CCNA exam. I bought this book and the Exam study guide by Lammle. Just to give you an idea, how good this book is, I scored 878 and the passing score was 755. However, study this book carefully. Do not take it for granted. Good Luck!
Rating: Summary: Great book for CCNA Test Review: With the help of this book, I scored 916 at the new CCNA test (although test crashed several times.) It's an excellent book to prepare the CCNA test. There are some editorial errors and some topics are not covered enough. But if you have some hands on experience, this book is sure enough for the test.
Rating: Summary: Very good study guide. Review: This is a very good study guide. After reading this book I scored a 925 out of 1000 on the exam! Granted I have a year and a half of experience on 2500 routers. If you have access to a router and this book, you have everything you need.
Rating: Summary: Right on for the exam! Review: I passed the CCNA using this book and routersim.com. There was not one thing on the exam that I didn't see. Good luck!
Rating: Summary: Excellent book for CCNA test Review: I am working for ISP and had hands-on on cisco router everyday. I still found that this book is very helpful to clarify my internetwork concept. I spent my last weekend reading this book and pass my CCNA today. This book is a strong recommand!
