Summary: A bargain at twice the price ! Great book.....
Review: I found this book very easy to read and it significantly helped me pass the PMP test. Combined with CD, this book is a real bargain and better than the Rita Mulcahy book. I recommend it !

Summary: Grapse the essense of the exam
Review: I have read through this book. THe framework is well structured and easy to read as well as understand the main points for the exam.

Though occassionally errors were found in this book, but the errors were not the critical/fundamental items.

This book help me to gain better understanding to the content of the PMBOK. Extract is also provided. It is worth to take time read through the book prior to the PMP exam.

Summary: I Passed
Review: I just passed my PMP and don't think I would have without this book. I literally crammed for my exam. I was having a very hard time digging through the PMBOK and this book sorts it out by project phases vs. knowledge areas which I found very helpful. I will be sharing my copy with all my friends who are studying for the PMP.

Summary: Outstanding Resource!!
Review: Not only is this book excellent as an exam review guide, but is a great desk reference too. The CD-ROM of practice questions is very helpful in gearing up for the exam.

Summary: Terrific prep book - and a real bargain
Review: Terrific book for those who are looking for a clear and concise overview of the material on the PMP exam. I was especially impressed with the hints about taking the exam - they matched my experience completely. It also had great information for IT PMP candidates. I found it difficult to reconcile my personal experience with the PMI view of Project Management when I studied for the exam. The authors did a masterful job of documenting those differences.

I saw 2 things that might improve this book. First, it would be great if the authors would add a notice detailing which version of the PMP the book targets. Second, more information about non-PMBOK books would be helpful. Minor flaws in an otherwise solid book. I wish it had been around when I studied - it would have saved me many study hours and a good deal of money spent on more expensive (and less effective) books.

Summary: Great book!
Review: These guys not only know the exam, they clearly have that hands-on experience that helps you actually learn this stuff. I strongly recommend you get this with your PMBOK!

Summary: Gets the job done
Review: This book combined with the PMBOK Guide and a few misc. online resources were all I needed to pass the exam by a wide margin. It is concise without a lot of extra fluff. Though there were a few annoying errors in the book (like referring to the PMBOK Guide as just "the PMBOK"), and some of the helpful tips were pretty much common sense, the book did a good job helping prepare for the exam. The book excels at preparing test takers for the situational questions on the exam by explaining the mindset the PMI is looking for. The test questions both in the book and on the CD were fairly true to the actual test.
