Rating: Summary: A "must have" for anyone serious about interactive media Review: This is the foundational book to use when developing out your own process. Either as a small start-up company or a large interactive department, this book provides you with an amazing toolkit to develop a process that works for you.
I've used the information from both Workflow that Works to develop a creative design process for nearly every company I have worked for or with.
I've purchased copies of this book for some traditional designers to help them understand the differences between our worlds. It's written in such a way that they get it right away.
Rating: Summary: Must have project management book for Web Designers Review: This was one of the most enjoyable and beneficial web books I have ever read. The book is well written, nicely laid out visually and technically, includes great case studies, full of helpful sidebars, lists, diagrams and graphics, has very good chapter summaries, contains few errors and has all of the documents mentioned available for download on its companion website. Can't ask for more than that in my opinion.I have been a professional web designer for several years now, and this book has helped me tremendously with workflow, client relations and project management. This book is not a technical book, but if you pair this book up with some of the more technical books (recommend Lynda Weinman's HOT series of books) you're good to go.
Rating: Summary: No so much design as it is workflow Review: When I came looking for this book I was hopeing to get a new perspective on the design of a website, this book, has very little if any, it more on how to plan a project for a big buiness than the home buisness or single site admin, if thats what your looking for, then I recomend this book to you, otherwise I say go look for another book.
