Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A Satirical Overview of American History
Review: The way you look at this book depends on whether or not you've read Gonick's " Cartoon History of the Universe " books. Those books were witty, informative, and well-illustrated. This book is semi-witty, semi-informative, and semi-well-illustrated. Great when combined with Hakim's books, but otherwise it gets kinda confusing. Pretty unorthodox, in good to bad ways.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Hilarious, and accurate.
Review: This is the kind of book to read if you really hate history but need to know it for school or something. It makes history fun, not just boring names and dates. I read it late at night, which displeased my family because I laughed so hard I woke them all up. I bought another copy of this book as a gift to my college history professor. He read it and commented, "It was very well-researched. I bet writing the cartoons was the easy part."

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Very Good but Below Gonick's Usual Standard
Review: While very good I felt that this book wasn't on the same level as Gonick's History of the Universe. Everything about this book seemed a bit rushed from the writing to the art. It's still very much worth buying but I can't recommend it as much as I would his History of the Universe.
