Summary: Better Yet
Review: Suze Orzman has a few valuable lessons to teach, but sends mixed messages. I found a much more readable, deeper, healthier, and consistent approach in The Mindful Money Guide. The author of The Mindful Money Guide is a former stockbroker who retired at a young age and then spent the next 15 years honing the art and balance of managing money--so it doesn't manage you. The Mindful Money Guide shows you how to simplify your money life, but it doesn't pretend there are easy answers. Despite the serious sounding title, it's actually a fun read.

Summary: Book helped me in financial studies
Review: As a Shaklee business builder, I have learned a lot about earning money. This book has helped me to find out what to do with the money I have earned. It is a great book. My Shaklee business is now expanding even more with the advice I got through this book.

Summary: Suze Orman is right on target!
Review: This book has helped me out considerably! Another great resource of information is James L. Paris' 10-Day Financial Turnaround Program - as discussed in his book, "The Christian Financial Crisis."

Summary: Simple, Concise, and the best financial advice I've heard.
Review: I bought the audio book and listened to it while I drove. From the beginning I was impressed by the simplicity of the advice she was handing out without the condesending tone usually found in books for the less-than-savvy financial wizard wannabees. Of course I fall into that catagory so I am a good authority on this corner of the book market. I have seen Suze on QVC many times but I thought that this was just another book saying the same old things in language that grew so complicated mid-book that I lost interest. How wrong could I be! I will be awarding this book to all of my recruits for their first 1K wholesale because I want everyone on my team to have the benefit of Suze's knowledge, experience, and heart. I recommend this book be the THE FIRST financial resource book you buy. It may well be the only book you need!

Summary: This video was extremely helpful for young people.
Review: I thought the video was important for every person who doesn't have a clue about getting their financial lives in order. As a young married couple who didn't have the advice from our parents on how to set up our finances, it gave us the foundation to understanding the basics. The video gave the inexperienced investor the courage to start planning. This video inspires hope. And hope is what many people lack, when it comes to money management, because you feel that becomming financially independant is unattainable to those who don't have much. This video allows you to see other people who are experiencing the same thing as you. Suzie targeted the average person, who isn't very financially savvy.

Summary: Great Help On A Troubling Issue!!!
Review: A while back, I was shopping for long-term care insurance. A friend recommended '9 Steps'. Let me tell you, Suze made this whole thing so clear! This type of insurance is so important, if you don't want to throw your fate (and your life savings) to the wind. I looked into 12 different policies, using Suze's tips all the way, and finally decided that the best, bar none, was from General Electric Life Assurance. Thanks Suze, and thank you GE!!!!

Summary: God Bless Suze Orman!
Review: Well written, no nonsense talk on getting your financial act together. I received the book two weeks ago and it's already changed my life.

Summary: Why pay for info when you can get it for free?
Review: I made the mistake of buying this book and later found the same information on Fidelity's website under the investment planning section. You'll also want to check out wealth management resources. Try Morningstar's website. From there you can find more financial info than Suze Orman provided in her book, and you won't have to muddle your way through the therapy sessions that she includes in her book.

Summary: she shares her experience and skills with us- that's great !
Review: I bought the book and I am still reading it. Although I live in Italy and the law is very different here,we have other taxes and all the system is different, I am very grateful to Suze Orman for having written the book and shared her skills and experience. I'm learning much about how handling my money and how avoiding mistakes. I also like her spiritual+practical approuch to money that I feel as energy (which can be positive or negative). I really like the book and would advise everyone, does not matter where you live. But if you are in the USA, you MUST read this book!!! Alice Modrone - Rome, Italy

Summary: Practical, useful, multidimensional, immediate use
Review: Just finished reading this...and then immediately went into work and changed my 401(k) contribution to the maximum. Also am looking for a money market account and will begin managing my own IRA stuff...now that I feel more comfortable doing it. Plan to lend the book to friends, and called my parents to tell them to get a copy and start getting things in order...such as getting a trust instead of a will, getting LTC insurance, etc. I liked her straightforward writing style; she has a knack for explaining the "mysterious" world of investing and finance in a way you can quickly and easily understand. She makes you feel more confident...that you can indeed manage your money. In today's often confusing world, it was very helpful to hear that you can trust your intuition and you don't have to "fall prey" to financial advisors. Also, from personal experience, I know that her advice about "good brings good" and "respect of money will bring you more money" is true. My husband got in a serious accident a year ago and at the time we were in a bad bad financial position--no emergency funds, high credit card debt, prospects of little or no income. This "kick in the pants" helped me to take control of my money and now a year later our credit cards are paid off, we have 4 months of bills in the bank, and I am maxing out my 401(k). Suze Orman's book came to me just when I was ready for the next step, and I am putting it to good use. I highly recommend!!!
