Rating: Summary: A must-read Review: This book has helped me gain a fresh perspective on who I am, realizing where I want to go, and how to get there. It is a fun to read, powerful, and insightful book that will aid anyone in the process of self improvement. Its approach is far superior to the large array of quick fix, feel-good books out there. I strongly encourage anyone who wants to transcend their present situation to read this book.
Rating: Summary: I've given a copy to everyone in my family Review: Covey captures the character problem in America. In the midst of band-aid pop psychology Covey has done more than create another set of buzzwords. These principles, while easy to understand are very challenging to implement. However the rewards are endless, just like the principles.
Rating: Summary: You can't just read about the habits, you have to own them. Review: This is an excellent book for a study group of up to five people. I have been involved in two study groups, and they are better than therapy! Yes you already know to live your life pricipally centered, but by studying those principles, and truly using them in your day to day living, you begin to own those habits. It truly expands your lens of the world. I recommend it for anyone.

Rating: Summary: This is a life-changing book. Get it! Review: This book should be mandatory study for everyone above the teen years. I have spent 3 years reviewing the principles off and on, and it has significantly changed my behavior and outlook. Covey draws on innate human traits of character, and shows how to use them to enrich your life. I can often tell when I have met a Covey student: they have an indescribable peace and glow about them. Warning: Do not just read this book once. You have to practice the principles and revisit the book to get maximum benefit. Ideal for a study group format. Deb Gunther
Rating: Summary: I'm trying to share what I've learned so far Review: I'm only on habit #2, however, as suggested in the book, I would like to share what I've learned so far, in order to help better understand the material and in order to assist someone else. (I have no one to talk to at the moment.) So far, I'm learning about what it means to be proactive. I'm trying to balance my P and PC. I'm establishing my values and beginning each day as an opportunity to reenforce them. I'm trying to begin with the end in mind. These are pretty heavy ideas and it's taking me time to thoroughly ingest them. But I just thought I'd let you know how it's going. Adios!
Rating: Summary: Covey's writing is easily accesable and extremely helpful. Review: The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People tells the readers how they can take control of their own lives. I found this book to be well written, as it was clear and easy to read while still being very potent. Covey uses little jargon in his writing that he does not explain, so this book is extremely easy to read and understand. If the readers follow Covey's advise they will find their lives to be far more organized. Thus they will be able to accomplish more and very often feel much better about themselves as a result. I would reccomend this book to anyone, whether or not they feel their lives need improvement.
Rating: Summary: Good insight for those who believe character is important Review: Very few books have had an effect on me as much as this book. I've read it twice and sent one to a friend. If you don't believe that a strong moral character is the foundation for a fulfilling life, you most likely will after reading this.
Rating: Summary: The Book That Makes a Difference Review: This book made a big difference in my life since it challenged me to change the way I thought professionally and emotionally. After reading the book, my relationships with my workers had changed for the better (I reduced turnover in my business dramatically and fostered an incredible team spirit within each of my employees) and I also ended a marriage with a woman who constantly dragged me down instead of lifting me upward. My life is now on track because of this book. The book also gives you tools (lists, diagrams, and organizer inserts) that aid you in becoming more highly effective. Stephen R. Covey provides deeply personal examples of his effective growth change. The book is inspiring. Everyone else on this site who has given a bad review of this book must not know effectiveness from a hole in the ground and must not have read the book all the way through practicing the end-of-the-chapter "exercises".
Rating: Summary: 7 Habits Website Review: Attempting to understand and work with this book, I created a home page which summerizes and provides further examples of its points. Check out the page if you like at:
