Summary: MOTO - Master of the obvious
Review: Excellent for putting things of the obvious into perspective, but then again it is obvious that this stuff is real and with a little thought on our own, we could probably think of the same stuff which would have saved me some cash to go and eat where I made a plant eat -- at McD's!!

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: OK - but obvious
Review: If you read all the other "self-improvement", "Rah-Rah" "personal time management" and "lets get our lives together" type books, you know where he gets his material from. Its just homogenized and sanitized. Plagerism? Not exactly. It's hard to put your finger on it. Don't get me wrong - it is a fairly good book and a worthwhile read. However we've all heard this before. Use what you can with a grain of reality salt.

One guy in our office was so taken with it that he drove everyone around him crazy with the delegation and time management aspects that his supervisor finally told him to knock it off. Seems he was delegating too much.

Also, where does this guy get the idea that we can all afford to just take a year off and call it a sabattical? Must be nice. Think I'll write a book and take a year off!

Summary: Great Book--Very Insightful!
Review: I am a college student and I just finished reading Dr. Stephen Covey's book "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People." This is a great book to read. Covey incorporated his real life events with each of the principles of highly effective people. This gave a greater understanding and awareness of the content

Rating: 4 stars

Summary: A "must read" for anybody who wants happiness and success
Review: Covey is easy to understand, and his teachings are solid. He skillfully leads you through some mental exercises that open up new vistas of insight. The concepts themselves have stood the test of time; it's Covey's presentation and way of tying everything together that work the apparent magic. I read this book nearly 10 years before writing this review, and have referred to it often since then. Covey's contribution to mankind, through this book, is major. "Seven Habits..." may well be one of the great life-changing tools of our time. Why should you read this book? As Covey says, "Put first things first." This book lays a firm foundation from which you can reach new heights--both professionally and personally. If you have any desire to take control of your life, to be happy, to succeed--this book (or tape) is for you. If you enjoy chaos, uncertainty, and failure, don't read this book.

Summary: A waste of time
Review: I have read (and listened to) much of Dr. Covey's work and the majority of it is not at all original, and NOT applicable to life today. This particular book/audio tape, is just a little bit of positive talk. Most of the people who praise Dr. Covey's work are actually praising anyone who affirms the "good old morals" of the past.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Either you got it or you don't!
Review: This book is filled with some useful knowledge. However, many of the issues brought up are things that usually people are born with and they can't be learned. Successful people were observed to find these characteristics, and they didn't read this book. I am very doubtful that many people will read this book and walk away a much grander person. One will probably find one or two things to work on, but the book is too wordy and long to be worth most people's time.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: It changed my life, think i'll die happy (3).
Review: It's fun to read, it's easy to understand, it will change anybodys life, for the better, obviously. I never had a Bible, now i do. A must for the world to get better.

Rating: 5 stars
