Rating: Summary: ok, but didn't mention things Review: I recently bought the book and thought it was ok. But it was all for modeling conventions and cattle calls which I think are a big joke. The book made me learn a little, but it isen't something that is great.
Rating: Summary: Very little information, and ALOT of fluff Review: I was surprized when i recieved this book at how little information it really contains. It seems to be the same basic advice, rehashed over and over. I was surprized because of all the
Rating: Summary: THE WINNING EDGE Review: I would like to express my appreciation to Ms. Rubinstein for the expert advice given in her book The Modeling Life. My daughter Kristy recently just took fourth place in the 1998 "Express Find the Next Model Search" and received a guaranteed $50,000 contract. She has also been recently offered an editorial job with Seventeen Magazine. I purchased your book for her on a trip to New York last summer to meet with prospective agencies. I believe the advice helped prepare her for the contest and gave her that winning edge. Sincerely, Mrs. Combs

Rating: Summary: More Fairy Tales Review: I'm a 40-something American physicist and know beans about fashion. However, my 26 y.o. european g.f. is a fashion model (and host of her own TV show) and gives the book a thumbs up. While written to younger women, she found it gave good advice for even an "old" woman like her as well as having a good section on how to contact various U.S. modeling agencies.
