Summary: A great overview of digital SLR cameras
Review: If you've been thinking of moving up from a compact digital camera to a digital SLR or if you're thinking of switching from your film SLR to a digital one, this book provides a really comprehensive overview of the subject. Virtually every aspect of digital SLRs is covered including the advantages of owning a single-lens-reflex camera, good clear explanations of the various camera features, an excellent chapter on resolution and file formats and much much more. There is also a good chapter on shooting and camera-handling techniques.

Rob Sheppard is the editor of Outdoor Photographer and PC PHOTO Digital magazines so he is really on top of the latest developments in cameras and digital technology. His writing is always clear and friendly and if you're new to SLRs, I think spending $20 on this book is a really worthwhile investment--it's like taking a crash course in digital SLRs.
