Rating: Summary: this is why models have management Review: Like many models getting started in the business, I didn't know which way to turn. The hardest part is to qualify clients and to only work with those that will keep the image of you that you would like to promote in the market place. This book really doesn't outline this aspect of the industry. Good management is what got me a blossoming career in this business. Thanks to Digital White Boy Management, http://www.digitalwhiteboy.com , I've made it in this industry.

Rating: Summary: changed my mom's mind Review: my mom bought me this book because she wanted to convince me that i am too short (5'7") to model. but the book showed me what I CAN DO! Rebecca Gayheart and Kate Moss did it. Okay, so maybe runway isn't right for me. but, now i think i can start in my hometown and make some money for college! maybe visit New York in the summer? and guess what? my mom thinks so too!
Rating: Summary: Solid, but Not Great Intro To Modeling Review: Solid, but by no means detailed book of the modeling industry. I read this book in one day. The font is pretty big and a lot of the advice can be very vague at times. I highly recommend you look into Roshumba Williams book regarding modeling. It's fantastic, and a much better book. I'm a famous male model, and I learned it all from reading Roshumba's book.
Rating: Summary: Finally, a guide to modeling with a sense of humor Review: The best book I've seen for anybody smart and serious, whose starting out in the modeling world. Gives great do it yourself advice on everything from getting photographs to approaching an agency -- even what to wear and what to watch out for. I know my chances are much better because I read this book.
Rating: Summary: Sound Advice and lots of behind-the-scenes info Review: The first down-to-earth-no-secrets-held-back guide to the industry. And I've read them all. I do my homework. Lots of interviews with models in various stages of their careers who have the confidence to tell it like it is. Helped me to break into the business in New York, get a top agency and know what I am and am not capable of doing despite what anyone tells me. Gives you the power to make your own decisions and maintain sanity in a sometimes crazy business!
Rating: Summary: Basic advice.... little real information.. Review: This book had no real advice. Most of it was just common sense advice any person shold know. Seemed geared for 15 year old girls only.
