Summary: A must have for serious special educators!
Review: I have always used Cecil's book in my own research in developing materials. It is written clearly, is regularly updated, and presents sound thinking for special educators. If you work with students with learning and/or behavioral problems, this book is essential.

Summary: A student teacher of students with learning disabilities
Review: I used this book in one of my methods classes in college. It is a wonderful book and I am so glad I have it. I highly recommend it to new teachers. It provides insight and activities for teaching students reading, writing, math, and social skills. This is not a book of theory--it is definitely a methods book. This book also includes one of the most important things a teacher could ever want--a scope and sequence list in the appendix. This book also provides Learning Strategies (COPS, TOWER, and others).
