Review: This book covers in good detail the stages of the viral lifecycle--attachment, penetration, uncoating, expression of nonstructural genes, expression of structural genes, assembly, maturation, and release--as well as viral-host interactions and viral evolution. The clear language and the questions posed in each chapter are effective in focusing the reader's attention and studying for a test. In short, a great book for general knowledge, review, or as a reference.
