Review: I have worked in industries related to managed care for several years and wish something like this had been available when I started. Even now, I am still finding terms that I have not previously encountered and clarification of terms that I aparently misunderstood. Like many industries, managed care has a language of its own -- unfortunately managed care carries its jargon to the extreme. This book is the best managed care glossary I have ever seen, or can even imagine ever finding.

The author cuts through the gobbledygook and presents definitions of complex terms and concepts in plain English and often with humor. This book is a must-have for anybody who has to deal with managed care, decide on a company health insurance plan, or manage health benefits.

And the beauty of the thing is that the author covers health insurance in total -- not just the managed care portion of it. That's like an extra bonus!
