Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Reading,Understanding, and Applying Nursing Research Review: This book is useful as a broad overview for undergraduate Nursing and Health Education students. The chapters aid the beginner to learn the basic research steps and give examples on application of the principles. Clarification is needed on the distinctions between qualitative studies and quantitative studies, which faculty can augment in lectures. I have used this book with over 100 students and only a few students have been confused by the more difficult concepts, such as analysis of data and measurement techniques. Overall, it has been a good basic primer.
