Summary: The Future of Science?
Review: This is truly an outstanding book. I have been searching for a long time to find a sensible secular scientific explanation of the universe.

Currently the standard theory, representing the opinion of the majority of researches from various disciplines, has all the hallmarks of a theory in collapse. The latest information from the Chandra deep field infa-red and X-ray survey (showing complete stars and galaxies at extreme distances have a quite normal stellar population), the Sloan Digital Sky high definition galaxy survey (showing a pattern that is not indicative of current theory), gravitational anomalies from orbital data receives by deep space probes, the necessity for introducing unreal amounts of dark matter and energy to account for galactic orbital characteristics, the failure to find evidence of gravitational particles or mediators at CERN, tends to confirm this state of affairs.

With the arrival of McCutcheon's book the 'Final theory' I feel at last I have found a solid theory realistically built on simple basic principles from the ground up. McCutcheon, in an almost kindly way, leads us gently to inescapable conclusions. His clear cut, precise and rational explanations are beautiful to follow. So much so it is quite clear that the single principle elucidated by McCutcheon and from which he draws the understanding of all physical phenomena, from the atom to the galaxy and everything in-between, must surely replace our current thinking.

A very telling section of the book, which has the hall mark of truth, is the knifelike dissection of the standard explanations for gravitational attraction of fixed and orbiting bodies postulated by Newton and developed by Einstein showing where assumptions are made and how they are built entirely on flawed reasoning and even erroneous mathematics ---- clearly explaining why this is so McCutcheon then shows the ease with which any orbiting body can influence every other in the universe, immediately, without time and without the tremendous unseen attraction forces being involved. The natural geometry of all bodies is to move in curved trajectories determined by size and not by mass. Einstein's, "time is relative" is replaced by McCutcheon's, "size is relative". Space is again regulated to being absolutely nothing as it should be and time is again constant throughout the universe. But it doesn't stop here. His analysis of the current theory of atomic structure, and replacement for it including chemical bonding is brilliant.

I have no hesitation in saying that this publication is an incredible achievement. It is the breath of scientific fresh air that has been far to long in coming. It is contains important and essential principles underling all physical phenomena. Don't be put off by individual or institutional prejudice and recourse to superior knowledge or qualifications. This book is the future of science.

Summary: Stunning new theory
Review: Were Newton and Einstein wrong?

Can a simple mechanical process really explain gravity, electricity, magnetism and hundreds of other mysterious "forces"?

Writing with incredible clarity Mark McCutcheon has taken a simple idea and followed its logical progression. Page by page every current physical law and scientific belief are deconstructed and replaced, exploding myths and offering new explanations for the mysteries of the universe.

Don't worry if you're not a physicist. This is written in a language that everyone can understand. There are no complex mathematical hurdles to jump, just simple easily comprehendible ideas. It even includes diagrams.

This is an incredible book which may one day (if enough people read this) relogate Standard Theory, General Relativity and Special Relativity to the realms of ancient myth & magic.

This could be the answer everyone is looking for.

Summary: Highly Recommended!
Review: What a refreshing change to finally find a science writer with an alternate theory who is able to express his ideas in such a logical and comprehensible manner. It was very rewarding to read such a well written book filled with so many new concepts. I find myself applying this new theory to everything around me and it opens up a whole new realm. I highly recommend this book to anyone searching for new physics.

Summary: A True Masterpiece!
Review: What an awe-inspiring book! Once I picked it up I couldn't put it down. After being tantalized by the website thefinaltheory.com I couldn't wait to get the book, and I was not disappointed. The author does a fantastic job of explaining all the current science misconceptions, and then applies his own theory to logical and practical applications of all the many science issues that have never truly been properly represented in today's science.

The explanations expressed with this amazingly straightforward new theory are so credible I can't believe this theory hasn't been investigated before now. The author explains both the most simple and complex misunderstood physics mysteries with well thought out logic in a very digestible manner with extensive diagrammatic representations as well. The author also supplies comprehensive mathematical proofs and derivations to back up his claims for those readers who desire it. For me this was not a necessary requirement to fully grasp the concepts, though it was useful to further support the author's theory.

Could this be the Theory Of Everything? A magnificent book - a true masterpiece!

Summary: interesting idea
Review: While the idea of expansion theory is clever, the author didn't seem to explain black holes or why planets don't expand right into each other. The only thing that would prevent this is if you state that space is not empty and is full of atoms between the stars, planets, etc. that are also expanding to keep the distances constant. I also could not find an email address on the final theory website, to get these contradicting observations explained. This is a fundamental phenomenon that the author is trying to tackle but, it seems, in a limited scope. I would have rated this book higher had the author said there are still holes in his theory, and state what they are, to show that more discussion and thinking is needed to either refine this theory or toss it out and start on a new idea.
