Summary: Great book
Review: My university started using this book recently. I had an a fantastic Instructor. My instructor was using this book for the first time. I haven't used anyother book besides this and I liked it. Book contains rigrous proofs. We also had Maple labs to supplement the course. After going through the proofs I could do the exercises. There are 4 different categories of exercises. First are just plain application of what you have studied. Then ther is dicussion and discovery section. After that there is Working with Proofs and the last one is technology Exercies which requires one to use Maple, Matlab or Graphing Calculator. Overall the book helped me understand the subject so I have no hesitation in giving it 5 stars.

Summary: Not well written and hard to understand
Review: The book is not well written, and hard to understand. Not suggested for reading or reference. The problems are joke, easy, and is designed for student who doesn't understand math clearly. I suggest if you want buy the book for linear algebra buy hoffman/kunze. That book is a bible for linear algebra.
