Summary: blue prints for surgery ( blue prints sereies)
Review: blue prints surgery is a very good review book for surgery .it is just 113 pages which makes it very easy to study and covers the important topics tested in the usmle. has got very good diagrams and tables.not for indepth study, but good source of reveiw for the boards.i recommend this book for anyone preparing for the boards.

Summary: High yield concise review for wards and Step 2
Review: I did particularly well on the surgical subcategory of Step 2, and it's owed to this book. Hands down, it's the best, highest-yield 3rd/4th year review for surgical disease - including epidemiology, symptoms, signs, diagnosis, and management. Awesome for review before the big test; also useful for overview of surgical diseases during your clerkship. One small complaint: it costs lots of dollars for about 100 pages.

Summary: Not suitable for USMLE
Review: This book contains not much of details for USMLE. Even you have very little time left and lots of topics to cram, don't think about this one.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Superficial material
Review: This book was far too superficial to use as a review book for shelf exams or to obtain an adequate understanding in general surgery. I would recommend the Lawrence surgery book, which takes longer to read, but at least you are gaining a better grasp of the material.

Summary: uh........i dont think so
Review: this is like a 100 page book that costs....too much. A total rip of first of all. I read the other reviews for this book and i am amazed that people actually found this book useful for the step 2. on my step 2 all i got was questions from trauma in surgery, (thats a well known secret...you DONT get general surgery questions on the step 2 these days).... this book doesnt even touch trauma. plus i got lotsa orthopedics Qs, which again, are not included in this book.... i really dont understand why its even written out to be a book for the USMLE step 2. as i keep saying in all my blue prints reviews....do what you want, buy what you want, but make sure you have the OBGYN and Peds blueprints books.
