Summary: Detailed, clinical information in a readable form
Review: This is a nursing textbook, with detailed, clinical information; however, it is very readable and has many helpful charts and definitions. It covers basic nutrition, nutrition through the life cycle, and community nutrition & health. A long section on clinical nutrition covers diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, renal disease, and surgery. I have used it for personal health and nutrition questions and problems and found it very helpful, e.g., the function of potassium in the body. I found the textbook format helpful rather than bothersome.
