Summary: Good work
Review: Excellent training tool. Taught me how to understand all components. Almost worn mine out and must buy another copy. A larger size in hard back an inch or two would be appreciated. Price is excellent.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: good info but not useful / lacks depth
Review: First the pages will fall out after reading it for a while. I felt the info didn't explain the subject at hand.

Summary: for commercial applications
Review: I have done household and small commercial applications for 20+ years. I have recently been hired by a commercial refrigeration company. While I have not read the entire book it appears to be quite a comprehensive volume for commercial applications. Useful to make the transition I require. It is very helpful in answering my questions and providing additional information on the systems/components/effects/problems/reasons I am being introduced to on the job. Some of the details on each subject seem to be helpful to the professionals I work with. As one of the reviewers (who gave a one star rating) stated: all professionals should already have this knowledge. However, if I were a business owner I would want all my techs to have a copy of this book to speed the diagnosis and proper solution for the system's failure as opposed to simply replacing the failed part. (It seems to me the above mentioned reviewer should write his own book...I'd buy it).

Summary: Good work
Review: This book has a lot of information regarding these systems, but what I was hoping it contained was information about Automotive applications, which it does not. A lot of the basic principles can be applied to automotive systems, but I was looking for something more specific. I guess I'll have to purchase the Automotive Air Conditioning Systems book for ...

So, all in all, I can't give it a bad review, it just wasn't for me.

Summary: Dated Material
Review: Typically disappointing. This book contains information that is found in any book on AC/R. It is hardly a toolbox worthy collection of information. Any person employed in the field should already know this basic material. I am still looking for the AC/R "World Book of Facts" - AC/R facts, data, stats, Tech wisdom. A book that actually contains what you carry such a book for. I fear no such book exists.
