Medicine Recall (Recall Series)

Summary: Don't wait to get this book.
Review: Medicine Recall has been an invaluable source of quick, high-yield information both in clinic and as a reference. It is thorough, accurate and up to date. It is written in a very clear question-answer format that you will definitely encounter on rounds. I advise all students to avail themselves of this resource at the beginning of their third year if not sooner. It was even helpful for board preparation.

Summary: Amazing book, but it WILL fall apart after a few months.
Review: This book is excellent for an internal medicine rotation, giving you exactly what you need without any unnecessary filler. Covers every topic in internal medicine, including psychiatry. I used this to study for the oral exam, and all of the questions were straight out of this book. The only complaint I have is that the spine of the book is cheap and pages started to fall out after three months of use. I've had to tape up about 80 pages back into the book. Other than that,this is an amazing book.

Review: While Surgical, OB/GYN, and Psychiatry Recall were indeed excellent recall pearls, Medicine Recall and its counterpart Pediatric Recall are just too big to be utilized as they are intended. It is not a quick read, and is really too bulky to fit in a ward coat unless you are trying to incorporate weight training into your medicine clerkship. If this is the case, simply add Pediatrics Recall to your opposite pocket and watch your trapezius muscles grow to infinite proportions!
