Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Best introduction to nucleic acid structure
Review: This is the best introduction to nucleic acid structure available. Chapters are reviews contributed by the leading scientists of that field such as Struther Arnott, Richard Dickerson, and Alexander Rich. Coverage is broad and deep. Topics include both experimental and computational studies and unusual structures. Some topics that were not covered or only covered superficially include larger structures (nucleosome, ribosome, etc.), quantum mechanical studies, all-atom molecular dynamics simulations, electrostatic interactions and solvation, protein-nucleic acid structure, spectroscopic approaches besides NMR, and ironically, drug-DNA structures, the specialty of the editor, Neidle. Extensive references in each chapter are invaluable.

It's too bad the book is so expensive. I hope OUP releases a paperback edition.
