Review: This text is an excellent reference for practising analytical chemists. As the title indicates, the emphasis is on analytical chemistry, not physical chemistry. It presents the physical aspects of electrochemical phenomena lucidly, without getting bogged down in the tedium of deriving & solving diffusion equations. The text is comprehensive in treating the major electroanalytical experiments, written by leaders in their respective fields. I give this to graduate students in analytical chemistry and find that they really like it. It is well-referenced, has good figures & tables, and is reasonably priced. This text is a must for transferring your ideas for experiments to the bench.
