Review: Having been in the satellite industry for over 20 years, I have been searching for a well-written, compact source book that I can use to bring new operations people up to speed quickly. Bruce Elbert has done a great job of condensing a tremendous amount of technical information into a format that any interested person can easily absorb. I highly recommend this book as a training aid for professionals that need an understanding of how things work in the satellite communications field. It's also a great refresher for people that don't deal with the technology issues on a daily basis.
