Summary: Signal Analysis approach
Review: Signal Analysis, by Ronald L. Allen and Duncan W. Mills is an excellent book for students taking a DSP course. The basic concepts are presented using simple and clear language and help the readers gain a strong foundation in Signal Analysis methods. The appropriately chosen illustrations and examples from real world applications are a distinguishing feature of the book. The consistency in the organization of subject matter makes it easy to read. The problems at the end of each chapter are well designed to motivate the students to analyze and apply the concepts. Advanced concepts like Wavelets have been developed quite nicely and in the natural flow of the subject material. This book is also valuable as a resource and reference for practicing engineers as it makes sufficient provision for practice and review. The authors have done a very good job and I highly recommend this book to all Signal processing students and engineers.
