Rating: Summary: complement Review: After reading a basic pharmacology book, is an excelent guide to learn this field of medicine. The chart format makes you structure your memory, thoughts and decisions...
Rating: Summary: Excellent Review: I am MD and pharmacology teacher in the medical school of Universidad Libre de Cali. This book is very good for the medical students, contains the essentials without unnecessary detail for them.
Rating: Summary: Perfect for any Pharmacology test! Review: I used this book for review for my senior year pharmacology class as well as my Part II National Boards for Dentistry. It is amazingly wonderful! The book is filled with charts listing simliar drugs, side effects, modes of actions, etc. It doesn't get lost in the details that you don't really need to know for your tests, but gives you all the important things that a professor or a national board may ask. A definite must have study tool for any pharmacology test!

Rating: Summary: Good book for nurse practitioner students. Review: I was finding the Pharmacology text in Grad. school very confusing. This book defined M2,M3,Alpha and Beta agonists & antagonists in a clear, easy to comprehend manner. Good clear charts. Cartoons were pretty worthless but I like the book. Good to study from for tests.
Rating: Summary: A JOKE Review: Someone wrote that this book was wonderful for ANY pharmacology test. HAHAHAHAHA JOKE! Same way with Lippencotts... That is if you are taking REAL pharmacology. Don't waste your time with either of the books if you actually are expected to know something about Pharmacology.
Rating: Summary: Quick, easy way to understand basis of pharmacology Review: This book is an exelent way to look at the basic drugs used in medicine. It allows you to see through tables the actions, indicatios, undesirable effects, etc of commonly used drugs. This book is quick, easily understandble and full of pictures that make learning and understanding easier. Exellent for medicine students who need a quick grasp of the most commonly used drugs
Rating: Summary: A JOKE Review: Yes, this is a pretty good review book. It has drugs stuffed into tables, and even includes some good text in the chapters. Unfortunately, there just isn't enough info in the book for a pharm class or a USMLE review. Run and buy Lippincotts if you want the best pharm book on Earth. Ridiculously simple, has alot of great books but this really isn't one of them. It is ok but really isn't all that useful. GO BUY LIPPINCOTTS NOW....Believe me that will make your pharm experience simple as it can be.
