Summary: Great for review
Review: A great and simple book for REVIEW of ANY medical exam (USMLE, PLAB, MCC)

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Usmle Step 2 Secrets
Review: an excellent book, I recommend this book to any body who wants to take USMLE STEP 2. it reviews almost every high yeild points needed for this exam. I read other books (first aid step 2, ALS step 2, crush step2 and ....) but this one was the best. if you need only one perfect book go on for this without second thought. good luck.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Easy reading
Review: I liked this book because at the end of the night you can pick it up and read a page or two and gain some high yield info. Sometimes at the end of the day you are just too tired to go out and read some chapter out of a review book, but with this book I feel like I am at least getting some high yield info that will hopefully help me when I am ready to start studying for boards.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A treat!
Review: i very highly recommend this book! has the right emphasis, and there were LOADS of questions from within these pages on my step 2 exam. Not only does it give you high yeild stuff, but it gives you alot of confidence. I found it more enjoyable than its counterpart - crush the boards, which has, basically the same material, in a different format. The question-answer style is brilliant! there are a couple of mistakes in it (eg-CSF pressure is written in mm Hg instead of mm of H2O...stuff like that) but you can totally forgive him, cos he's helpin you so so much!!
Its a great investment. Much much better than first aid for step2
Buy it!!

Summary: rave about this book
Review: passed step 2 and now studying for step 3
If you can take one book with you, this is it.
the information is jam-packed with gems and perls. It doesn't contain details and scriptions not useful for step 2. maybe in academical sense of view it may lack considerable detals but this book is just centered to pass exams. so if your goal is to only pass the exam this book is second to none in a way it was written so strategically and tactically to get you on course from off course. Though useless as a reserch engine, it is best if your sole aim is to ace the exam.
Other resource I used I thought useful was NMS step 2 on CD. So that I could have trained to simulate answer questions in a setting of real exams.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent
Review: This book is the equivalent of what First Aid was for Step 1. I just took Step 2 and this is the book to have. I just wish I had read it more than once! When combined with a question resource, like NMS, you have the perfect study material. (The NMS questions were a little bit more picky than the actual test by the way, but excellent in scope.)
Secrets is concise and tells you what you need to know for the Boards, giving common clinical scenarios, etc. I highly recommend it!

Summary: Just where to start
Review: This is another book that is just full of the same old
tired facts that never get tested. USMLE avoids testing highly
repetitive facts. This book is like First Aid, it justs puts you
in the proper mindset to take the exam while givning you fluff. Most students that take the exam dont realize that they are already well prepared and dont need a book like this. It just gives them confidence and then they talk about how the book was the best thing since sliced bread. Get real, USMLE people
know what is on the shelves in bookstores, in fact, one guy that I talked to said he had about every review book known to man. They know what is out there and test accordingly. If books like
these were "right on the money", then everybody would do well.

Very few facts in this book came up on my test ( Nov 8 02 ).

My 2 cents
