Summary: definitely the best of the affordable neuropathology review
Review: This is the 4th edition based on Escourolle and Poirier's original Manuel de Neuropathologie - a comprehensive manual that covers all of the essential topics in pathology of the nervous system. Most importantly, it includes a bounty of colored slides which is essential to any pathology textbook, I believe. Excellent coverage of tumors, muscle, metabolic, and infectious, among the other various topics covered in succinct, well-written chapters. There are other more comprehensive neuropath texts out there for exorbitant prices, but this is definitely a manageable and affordable text for any neurology resident trying to prepare for Boards.
