Summary: Excellent resource for those with an electronic background
Review: I'm a big fan of the information and projects presented in this book. However, it is not for the electronic faint of heart (or pocket book). Projects require some form of background in electronics and soldering to be able to understand (and in some cases, complete) the required tasks.

The pricing for projects range from $25-$500++ with parts for the more advanced (and cooler) projects being hard to find. However, the projects are incredible. Everything from a ultrasonic microphone and night vision device to EMP generators and class IV lasers.

Anyone who is seriously interested in constructing advanced electronic gadgets or who is merely interested in what is possible will benefit from owning this book.

Summary: Easy to read but expensive to build
Review: M Iannini claims many of these projects can be built for under $100 but that isn't true. His laser based projects can run into the hundreds of dollars because the specialized parts are not easy to find. I am on the fence about whether or not I will hold onto this book.

Summary: The master does it again!!
Review: The Grand daddy of covert high voltage electronics steps up to the plate and hits a home run with this one - we're talking hardball russian style. A great book from the master!! You gotta get this one if you want to have some high voltage fun...

Summary: A great book! Definitely get this one for your bookshelf
Review: This book really is one of kind!! It has all kinds of great high voltage projects. The diagrams, schematics and pictures are of the highest quality. This book picks up where his last book - Lasers, phasers and ion ray guns left off. All of the circuits use up to date components and technologies that are inexpensive and easy to find. Thanks to Iannini for this great book.

Summary: Easy to read...Hard to build...
Review: Yes it's a good (not very) book...but isn't the best...Unfortunatly Mr. Iannini guesses that every one has the chance to get all the necessary materials to build the electronic gadgets...but in fact it cost a lot of money to build the gadgets he describes. There is a lot of more intelligent books to chose from. Don't waste your money.
