Summary: The Ceramics Encyclopedia!
Review: It is all there!

Even though it is dated 1976, this book covers most issues of interrest.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: An excellent reference book for undergrads in Mat Sci
Review: This book is an excellent introduction to Ceramics. But, as an added bonus, it also comprehensively covers most of the topics in the Materials Science undergradute curriculum making it an excellent reference book.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The Ceramics Bible
Review: This is a tour-de-force textbook that covers the fundamental science behind ceramics and glass. And to the extent that the same energy equations (for kinetics, thermodynamics, stress and strain, defects, light transmission, grain boundaries, etc) apply to other inorganic materials, this book is an understandable reference for them too. It was the bible at MIT for Ceramics Mat Sci BS and MS students. Well indexed, a usable teaching and reference book.
