Review: Stuck on deciding the best way to implement reading or writing workshops? This is the book to have. The book is nothing less than a workshop in a box with concrete, implementable strategies and record keeping forms. Although Ms. Atwell is somewhat "starry eyed" at times, her workshops are readily adaptable to almost every classroom situation. An especially good book for beginning teachers, this has a place on any teacher's shelf.

Review: This is an extraordinary book. Atwell seems to be a master at getting her students to perform. I cherish this text.
