Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A "Must-have" for all construction disputes professionals.
Review: What I like about Pinnell's book is how it is written with the mind-set that "Partnering" and other cooperative processes need not be sacrificed for a contractor to get what he is entitled to.

Pinnell focusses on the contractors part of the claims process, since the burden is on the contractor to document his claim. However, designers and owners need this book because they must review, reject or approve contractor claims - many times using the same analysis methods used by the contractor to prepare the claim.

Strengths: Advocates a Partnered approach to claims. Concise review of pertinent contract law. Excellent chapter about scheduling. Distinguishes small claim methods from large, complex claim processes.

Pinnell takes you through even the most complex of construction claim processes concisely and with clarity.
