Summary: Not much to go on!!
Review: Don't buy this book if you need a histroy review. It only contains an outline and a sample test. The book states that a person taking this section of the Praxis should buy some history text books. I should have done that instead of wasting my money on this worthless book!

Summary: Depends on what you need
Review: I've read the 2001 edition, not this newest one. But if you need a hard-core history review, this is still probably NOT the book for you. However, if you'd like more information about what test 10081 of the Praxis II series actually covers, then read this book. Technically, you don't really need to buy a copy if you can get a library to do an interlibrary loan for you since all you need to do is flip through the chapters on what the test covers and make some notes on what you need to review. The best part of the book, though, is the sample test. The one in the 2001 edition is 117 questions long (the real test is 130). Otherwise, this book is a big list of what to study, not an actual history textbook.
