Review: Typically, a remodeling job requires some guesswork on the load capacity of the existing members of a house. The remodeler's inclination is to overbuild to stay on the safe side of the code and pass inspection. We were able to save time and money by using this book at the plan stage to figure spans and loads for an addition.
