Review: As a pre-vet student, this book provided me with excellent descriptions of horse diseases and health problems. The pictures accompanying many of the ailments were helpful; however, I wish the book had been a larger size instead of the small version I read. The author kept the diagnoses concise and to the point, and the suggested treatments were informative. I definitely recommend this book to anyone interested in maintaining the health of their horse.

Review: I felt that this book left a lot to be desired and was written for the layperson with NO medical background. The UC Davis Book of Horses is a much more complete reference book , absolutely worth the extra cost.

Review: This book is very informative on the treatment of horses. It will also save you on the expensive vet bills. It has plenty of photos to help you spot the problem & or disease on all types of horses. I highly recommend this book! So much i'm buying another copy!
