Review: If the aspect of Hildegard of Bingen's work that you are interested in is her medicinal lore, then this work will save you hours of wading through her theological writings hunting for her specific recommendations on herbs and health. The main reason I don't give it a higher rating is that the authors deliver Hildegard's writings as if they were prescriptions, and she recommended some dubious (but acceptable to Medieval thinking) substances such as whale meat and vulture beak powder!
