Summary: Powerful and Helpful
Review: What an amazing book! What a powerful tool!I heard Susan Gail speak at a Professional Women's event- and purchased her book on the spot. I am so glad that I did! This book has given me information so unique and helpful- that I felt I wanted to share my experience with other readers. What I learned from Susan's fact packed book- was how to deal with my own internal questions about Plastic surgery, how to approach the search for the right doctor- and how to sound like an informed patient with intelligent and real questions while deciding on who would give me the results I wanted and the best possible care. I felt empowered by the book- enjoyed the easy and often humorous stories about Susan's experiences, and felt that I was armed with all the help I could possibly obtain from a self-help book. I made a list of questions- with the book's suggestions- and when I asked them at the various doctor's offices- I was often surprised by the responses. Some negative, some positive- and some clearly NOT for me. The book helped my organize my thoughts- and really helped me prepare and chart my personal Plastic surgery experience. Another thing- I ordered Susan Gail's Post Surgery kit- and found it to be one of the best things I have ever purchased sight unseen. It is the complete collection of "stuff" you need to recover without going to the store a million times- driving everyone in the house nuts looking for supplies- and really helped me when I felt overwhelmed about preparing for recovery. It was the least expensive part of this whole process- and other than the surgery itself- the most critical! I urge everyone to buy the kit- you will buy the contents at one point anyway- and the kit is all inclusive and on hand from the beginning. It was a great convenience! So- all in all- I suggest to anyone who wants to look into Plastic surgery, have Plastic surgery- or go back for repeat Plastic surgery- to buy Susan's very inexpensive book and recovery kit- and arm yourself with the facts BEFORE you make any committments. Review: Your honest, straightforward and very funny book "Cosmetic Surgery: Before, Between and After" was an invaluable tool as I researched, underwent, and recovered from my recent neck lift. Both your book and your post-op Survival Kit helped demystify the whole process. I read and re-read your book several times. I used it for "cramming" the night before my surgery and it was awesome! There are people you like and trust on sight, you are one of them. If you are reading this and needing some REAL help...buy this book and tell your friends.
