Summary: a concise guide to UT
Review: According to Van Der Kroon (or should I say Van Der LOON), the cure-all tonic you've been searching for is a just a toilet bowl away. Thats right, pee - the magical substance which flooded my pants every time I laughed too hard as a kid, can cure everything from acne to ulcers. Now the sophisticated nature lover can flood their body with one or two cancer-fighting molecules by drinking their own wizz instead of being bothered to brew those difficult tea bags which only contain a million times more cancer fighting free-radicals and are lacking of that tangy body processed urine taste. You can also help save the environment and wash less glasses by just lying on your back and peeing in a beautiful backwards arc right back into your mouth.

On a more truthful note, its depressing that people actually believe this. There is zero medical evidence, with the exception that the human body does pee away excess vitamins that it cannot process. But leave it up to Eastern medicine to come up with the ultra-conservationist attitude: instead of just eating additional vitamin containing foods, you can just drink your own homemade Mountain Dew. Next time an unpopular kid with acne is looking for an easier cure, just suggest putting urine on their face... how could that possibly be fodder for a lifetime of painful teasing?

For true alcoholics, drinking your own urine might be okay after a night of binge drinking to get your money's worth, but otherwise I wouldn't recommend it. Besides, everyone knows that urine isnt good for your skin. (...)

Summary: It Works!
Review: For those who find drinking one's own urine revolting, then why do you eat meat products which have rotten blood (urine comes from blood that is alive) and bacteria from the animals intestines (beef and pork) which permeates and "ages" the meat and makes it taste good?

Urine is liquid which has been flowing through your veins in the past few minutes and is filtered of impurities by the liver and passed on to your bladder as antiseptic and has no bacteria in it as does the blood and meat of the beef, pork, chicken and other animal products you eat. Urine has no connection to the fecal material that is processed in a different manner and those who try to connect the two are unable to reason correctly.

Ingesting urine was a very difficult decision but after doing a lot of research I finally took the plunge, so to speak. Within three weeks the athlete's foot condition that I've had for 60 years disappeared (yeah, I tried the oral prescription medicine for six months, and had toenails removed, and that didn't work), pre-cancer conditions have both disappeared and receded (as verified by a dermatologist), burning eyes and night sensitivity to light - a 70+ year condition - are totally gone. There are also many other benefits I could mention but these are just a few, and this is after just two months of using it.

For those who want to upchuck at the thought of drinking their own urine, then why has it been done with significant benefits with no adverse effects for thousands of years? Our Western view of "dirt" has produced a sick, antiseptic, antibiotic world which is producing super disease that the drug companies can no longer keep up with. When you lose your health (which many who read this will eventually do) you will kick the MD's in their wallet and seek real healing modularities of which urine therapy is but one.

This is by far the best book there is on the subject of urine therapy.

Summary: Urine Therapy for health, beauty, longevity, sexual potency.
Review: I was enormously impressed by this book. Its author strikes me as a responsible and highly intelligent person who has made an important discovery and wishes, for humanitarian reasons, to make it known to the world.

Kroon first became interested in urine therapy in India after sustaining a serious injury to his foot. When instead of healing, the foot gradually grew worse, someone suggested that he use urine compresses. Having nothing to lose he decided to give it a try - and it worked! He then set about researching the subject, both in India and the West, and 'The Golden Fountain - The Complete Guide to Urine Therapy' brings us the fruits of his research and his years of practical experience.

Although not a large book it's packed with an enormous amount of fascinating and valuable information, too much to even begin to adequately describe. After a brief Introduction, Kroon takes up the history of Urine therapy in both the West - where it was used to cure innumerable complaints in earlier centuries - and in the East.

Urine, we learn, has anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral, and anti-cancer properties. Also, by strengthening the immune system and correcting the imbalance which underlies most disease, it can in many cases help to cure just about anything, and it has other valuable properties too.

A chapter on Applications is included which describes the various ways urine can be used, both internally and externally, to promote health, beauty, longevity, and even sexual potency! Detailed instructions are given on drinking, bathing, gargling, douching, eye and ear drops, sniffing, massage, compresses, rubbings, foot and hip baths, scalp and hair massages, and other applications.

Chapter 5 is devoted to the 'Medical and Scientific Aspects of Urine Therapy.' In it we learn that urine, far from being the nasty stuff most of us suppose, is a veritable natural pharmacy. It is a sterile liquid, filtered from the blood by our kidneys, and consists of energized structured water plus upwards of some 200 substances.

Among these substances are such things as amino acids, proteins, enzymes, vitamins (thiamine, riboflavin, B6,B12, ascorbic acid, etc.), hormones (gonadotropin, vasopressin, cortisone, testosterone, oestrogen, etc.) urea, allantoin, DHEA, H-11, HUD, Interleukin, prostaglandin, and so on.

Some of these are in fact being extracted from urine by today's pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries, repackaged, and sold to us under various names - though without of course telling us where they came from. Chapter 5 concludes with a 60-item bibliography of the scientific literature.

The book then moves on to a section of personal testimonies from people around the world who have experienced the remarkable health-promoting powers of urine therapy. Their general attitude is pretty well summed up by one gentleman from India who wrote: "Urine therapy is the gift of God - a panacea - for human beings and animals" (page 80).

Kroon's is a remarkably rich and interesting book, contains much about the How's and Why's and Wherefore's that I haven't been able to touch on here, and it can be heartily recommended to all open-minded readers. The book is also extremely well written, has a useful general bibliography, and contains a number of interesting photographs, including one of the author.

His glowing complexion would be the envy of many, and you'd be hard put to find a more vibrant, healthy-looking and bright-eyed individual. One begins to feel that, if this is what urine therapy can do for one's health, well-being, and appearance - it might just be worth a try!

Summary: Huh?!
Review: Kudos to Tepi for describing the book so thoroughly. While I don't think I'll be gargling urine anytime soon, it's fun to think of all the folks out there who evidently do so in the belief that it's, um, "energized structured water" with lots of fun amino acids.

Did you know that fecal matter contains lots of powerful nutrients as well? You know, like those undigested bits of corn?

Hats off to the wonderful world we live in, with such an astounding variety of fruitcakes.

Summary: What if you have a urinary tract infection?
Review: Mmmmm yummy! Common cold? Pee on it. Tastes good, too! What the heck are you people thinking? You aren't gonna pee out anything you didn't already take in. Except by the time you pee it, your body has extracted its favorite nutrients.

It's like eating out of the dumpster of your favorite restaurant. Or more like the port-a-potty.

So, who wants to take their wine glass out back and scoop up that stuff and drink up!

Summary: It hits the spot!
Review: This book was given to my as a gag gift, but I actually took the time to read it and all I can say is "wow"!

I used this therapy to help break my heroin addiction, and now I use it to maintain a positive, healthy lifestyle. There have been no relapses, and cravings I've felt in the past just aren't there this time around. If you have any type of addiction, from food to sex, this is the book for you.

Modern science may be a wonderful thing but take it from me - nothing beats a nice cup of your own urine.

Summary: get over yourself
Review: this is for those people instantly disgusted by the idea of drinking a warm glass of urine in the morning.
1stly the treatment can also be done with drops under the tongue, starting with 1 on the first day and progressing. I have not read this particular book (have read Harald Tietze's - "Urine - the Holy Water") and he outlines different methods of taking it.
I write the review for this book because I see so many people bagging this method of treatment.
I had a skin problem on my genitals since the age of 4. I was on modern medicine for most of my life, and have been hit with every kind of antibiotics and cream you can imagine (which has all built up in my body and caused other problems). In short nothing worked. I changed first my diet to organic veggies and fruits, cut out all the junk, then moved to alternative therapies tried the parasite zapping (see Hulda Clarkes books) and the herbal teas, oxygen supplements, colloidal silver, colloidal minerals, wheatgrass, the whole works. All of these are fantastic things and have really helped my body regain it's vitality I cannot remember feeling so good at any point in my life. But still the skin rash persisted...... Last week bought the urine book. Got over my squeamishness and started drinking a glass full every morning. I aint gonna be all girly about it and do the drops under the tongue, gonna do the whole thing! 5 days later... skin rash gone. No bullsh*t.

Now apart from the recycling of hormones, amino acids, etc... my personal theory of why it works is that it's kind of a feedback thing. The first two days of taking it I could taste it all day, very strange feeling (but tastes better than wheatgrass anyway). I think as it passes through the thyroids your body gets a chance to reanalyse itself and then make adjustments. Just a theory... but remember ALWAYS that science is incomplete, there is still much we cannot explain. Most doctors and scientists tend to claim something doesn't work or exist if they can't explain it... eventually they can though and grudgingly they have to face the fact that the particular person of the time making these remarkable claims was right. It has happened so many times in history, every great mind that has influenced the way we now view the world was initially ridiculed.

So get over yourselves and if you haven't tried it, don't knock it until you do. Fine don't believe it works, but don't deny it to other people either because you have no experience of it, so YOU CANNOT KNOW.

Review: While "The Golden Fountain" is a wonderfully informative book on the incredible effects of Urine Therapy, I would direct interested readers to a book entitled "Your Own Perfect Medicine" by Martha M. Christy. The author provides not only many case histories but actual Research Evidence and Case Studies from Medical Practitioners the world over, including the U.S. There are also wonderful chapters on the adverse affects of Western Medicine (with valid scientific medical research)and the home use of Urine Therapy. If you're interested at all in finding out more about Urine Therapy, I highly recommend this book. The testimonial of the authors' medical recovery is worth the price of the book alone.
