Rating: Summary: A complete guide! Review: I wish everyone in this age of diet frenzy could read this book..In this book, Bauer simply shows us that having a healthy nutrition or losing weight do not include starvation diets or magical food combinations. The math is simple, count your calories and exercise. Although this book didn't necessarily teach me much about the scientific aspects since I was already familiar with them, because it compiled everything on nutrition it became my reference book on nutrition. I, personally like the complete idiot's guide series because I know that I will get the most objective and comprehensive information from them. I definitely recommend this book to everyone who wants to gain healthy eating habits. And please, do not waste your money and hopes on crazy books or pills..Don't let marketers exploit you because they think you are desperate. If consumers make healthy choices, they will have to change their attitudes..Read this book.

Don't let the "Idiot's" title fool you--this book goes into detail with many topics and serves as much more than just an intro. Bravo Ms. Bauer!
