Rating: Summary: One of the best electronics books I've read Review: One of the best organized and well-written electronics books on the market. I used it in my college course on electronics and it was an invaluable source of fundamentals, great examples, and extremely well explained concepts. Great use of analogies throughout the text. Lots of problems. Recommended buy.
Rating: Summary: Forget about this book! Review: One star is even too much! With this book you can only have an idea of what is going on, it is more like a little bit of everything rather than a complete understanding. If you really want to learn about electronics take "Microelectronic Circuit Design" by Richard C. Jaeger; it is much better and gives you a compleate coverage and explanation.
Rating: Summary: Very Thorough Text Review: The problems and exercises in the book are POORLY constructed:In order to solve a problem, you may very well have to constantly flip back and forth between pages because the author was too cheap to put a simple diagram on the same page as the problem. I.e. "Use Figure P2.30 and the V-i characteristic in figure 2.550 to solve for the circuit values in Figure 2.75, with R=25k ohms ...." That would involve flipping back and forth between a lot of pages. However, the problems are very thorough and cover a great deal of the subject w/o wasting too much time. For various circuits, the author goes directly to Thevenin Equivalent circuits rather than showing a concept using a dozen or more different circuits.
