Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Small Time Operator
Review: "Small Time Operator" by Bernard B. Kamoroff makes you wonder if he ever made it big or just remained small. I agree this is not the bible of business practices. However, the info isn't all that bad. It just lacks real meat.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Not a BIBLE but a decent start.
Review: Coming from the business world this book is an overblown exercise in verbosity. This is not a concise edition of business fundamentals. Calling the information basic would be kind, but you would still really have to read between the lines.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent, Basic, Clear Information
Review: If you are thinking of just getting starting this book is OK. It gives a lot of very basic information. Once you get started there are better books out there but this is OK to begin with.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Not particularly helpful
Review: There are better books on how to start and run a business. This one is long on words and short on useful, practical information. Reads more like an accountant trolling for business by harping on complications than a genuine self-help book.
I bought based on the recommendation of a (well-written) book on self-publishing. Wish I'd read Amazon's comments first and spent my money elsewhere.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Not Exactly THE Bible
Review: This book is not as great as I thought it would bee. I compared earlier printings to the most recent. The original was just average being a little informative to the uneducated. The latest revised edition is nothing to really rave about. Sorry guys.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Okay for the true novice to business
Review: This book is okay if you have no prior business knowledge. It will bring you up to speed before you read the better books that offer the heavy artillery.

For first timers, okay. Experienced, pass.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Not the entire story
Review: While this book does cover some business essentials, the real meat could have been covered in a 12 page booklet. A lot, as those of us who are actually in business know, is not covered. You can skip this one.
