Review: As a complete novice to accounting concepts I bought this book because I wanted to understand what type of information I need to track as a freelance professional services provider. I read all of Part 1 (several chapters) and can't say I know more than I did when I started. If you want to understand the difference between cash & accrual methods, the reason for single or double entry, the purpose of income statements, or how bookkeeping can help you as a management tool, look around at some other books before buying this sight unseen.

Review: This book really helped me set up my books properly. I had really made a mess of them up until now. It also teaches me the lingo of accounting so I don't feel like such an idiot talking to my accountant!
