Review: This is a short-but-sweet little primer on contemporary scholarly thinking on political economy. It is based on the author's class lectures, with each chapter having a list of supplemental readings for those who wish to learn more. This book, if supplemented by some of listed readings or a "core" text on political economy, such as Mueller's Public Choice III, could serve as a good base text for an undergraduate or graduate-level class on political economy. The book is amost ideal for teaching.
