Summary: Not just for twentysomethings
Review: "Getting Loaded" is loaded with useful advice, good intentions, and laughs! Peter Bielagus's book, while aimed at the under-30 group, features things we can all benefit from. I'm in my early 30's, and I found the book to be very engaging. It's written in easy-to-understand format, and Mr. Bielagus covers every aspect of finances: credit cards, mortgages, retirement, saving, etc. Recommended highly.

Summary: Excellent Book For Young Investors
Review: After scouring through endless personal finance books, I can finally say that I have found a book that easily relates to the young investor. In comparisons to the other personal finance books, from Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki (which is more of a philosophical book rather than a 'how-to' book and should be taken that way instead of following his dangerous advice), to Making the Most of Your Money by Jane Bryant Quinn (overall excellent), to Road to Wealth by Suze Orman (estate planning is excellent), and to Personl Finance for Dummies by Eric Tyson (investing plan is very good), just to name a few top rated books, this book deserves recognition. A smart, young adult looking to secure their financial future early in life can easily relate to the topics he discusses and can take action immediately. I recommend this book to anyone, especially to the younger generation.

Summary: A "Must-Read" before you invest another dollar!
Review: Awesome book! Highly recommended for financial novices and experts alike. This book is very well written and arranged in a logical manner to help the beginner build a good foundation of personal finance without insulting the intelligence of the financially astute. Filled with wit, humor and thought-provoking cynicism, Mr Bielagus serves up a short-order lesson on how to cut through the complex financial world without being intimidated. A great way to benefit from a financial expert's many years of research in less than 400 pages! An absolute "must-read" for anyone on the road to financial independence.

Summary: Creating a much brighter future for me!!
Review: Getting Loaded is a fantastic book for someone just looking into personal finance for the first time or for someone (like myself) who has found themselves a bit too deep and looking to return to some rock solid basics. Getting Loaded is written in a fun and easy to follow fomat with detailed explanations as to why each "secret" starting each chapter of the book can or should be used by the reader. In my opinion this book would make a fantastic graduation gift! Highly reccomended.

Summary: definately recommend it
Review: I only wish I had found Getting Loaded sooner. I'm recently married and after that happens you pay much more attention to your finances. This is the book to help anyone, single or married get their act together. It's a quick, easy read and it's easy to reference topics because it's 50 short chapters, not 10-12 long ones. I definately recommend it

Summary: An Excellent Primer
Review: Peter's penchant for familar and accessible language brings home the basics of financial investing to those who need an introduction to all money matters. I recommend this book especially to all recent grads. I've bought several copies myself because the book makes a great gift! Peter's humor is particularly poignant and I found myself bursting out loud a couple of times - his humor makes the book read like a novel with enough cultural references to give anyone a laugh. In this day and age... it's practically irresponsible not to know at least the basics of the financial world - and Peter's book breaks down each topic in an easy to read format; I find myself using sections as reference tools - even after reading it through once. I can't say enough about this book - it should be required reading for everyone.

Review: Talk about taking a fire breathing dragon and turning it into a nice golden retriever!! I'm twenty six years old, and Personal Finance has always been something that scared me. However, at the same time I saw my own money flying around without direction. A good friend recommended "Getting Loaded" to me, and after some nagging I finally decided to put my fear aside and sink my teeth into it. THANK GOD I DID!!!! Peter Bielagus's book has opened doors for me that I did not know existed. Through easy to follow steps, excellent descriptions of complicated topics and fantastic humor, this book has opened my financial future to me and at the same time, cleaning up all of my previously made mistakes. Before I began this book I was digging quite a hole for myself. Since taking the advice outlined in this book, I have already begun the climb out, at a pace I thought was impossible.
