Rating: Summary: Best Book by far on selling your home using Feng Shui Review: A Feng Shui PractitionerI was so impressed with this book I gave my Realtor a copy! Because the author is a Realtor herself, my broker "got" it immediately. He told me the most successful brokers in our area are increasingly using Feng Shui to market properties for clients, especially at the high end - but that even modest homes are selling better with Feng Shui. He was particularly enthusiastic about this book because he says it is the BEST FENG SHUI REFERENCE GUIDE he has seen, for both real estate professionals and homeowners alike. I highly recommend Holly Ziegler's book to my clients because it is written so that a complete novice can understand how to use simple Feng Shui techniques to sell their house, or to simply improve the Feng Shui in their existing homes. The Feng Shui teachings in this book are also of the highest quality. It guides the reader to a deeper understanding of the ancient wisdom that makes these Feng Shui principals so effective in selling a home. I tell my clients that using Holly Ziegler's book to sell their house is good karma, because the result is a "win-win" situation, where both Seller and Buyer come away with better results they ever expected!
Rating: Summary: McFengshui strikes again. Review: Another two-day wonder of the feng shui world writes a book that rehashes the advice realtors normally give to clients (before "feng shui" became a meme). The fact that the author reviewed her own book is particularly remarkable. That Lin Yun wrote something is not remarkable, because his dictum is that all of his students should write books about what his church sells as feng shui. Most realtors are simply waiting for this fad to pass.
Rating: Summary: Sell Your Home FASTER with FENG SHUI Review: As a Feng Shui Consultant, I met Holly Ziegler at a FS conference. I literally purchased one of the first books off the presses. We were planning to put our house on the market. I read the book, followed Ms Ziegler's suggestions, our house sold in HOURS! I now incorporate these practices when working with clients who are selling homes (and businesses) and have had great success. Ms Ziegler is right on the mark. Cheers rhb
Rating: Summary: Best Book by far on selling your home using Feng Shui Review: Feng Shui basics for home transformation in an easy-to-read format. Fresh ideas and new twists on ancient wisdom. A must-have resource for home sellers and real estate agents!
Rating: Summary: ok, if you like suckering people out of money Review: Feng Shui, as any educated person knows, is complete BS. Money can be better spent hiring a real designer. The basic idea of the book is to hire someone to 'Feng Shui' the house and mention the word during the sell. Feng Shui is purely an American invention and has no relevance whatsoever. It is dominated by people too stupid to get real training in interior design. Don't be fooled by these con men/women.
Rating: Summary: Feng Shui Marries Real Estate Review: Holly's book capitivated me from the start. I find the concept of using feng shui with real estate to be common sense based with a touch of mysticism. The book is a MUST if you are already involved in feng shui OR real estate and are thinking of melding the two. The book is comprehensible, cohesive and well written while peppered with captivating real life stories that help you get a deeper understanding of the impact feng shui and real estate have together. Holly, thank you for writing such a great tool. Regards, ~Brigette

Rating: Summary: The Mystical and the Practical Review: Ms Ziegler's book is a very smooth and welcoming introduction to the essential principles of Feng Shui and the way they apply to keeping, managing and presenting a home to ourselves and to others. Much of her advice is simply practical - but often ignored. How many of us make sure all the little things work, spaces are well lit and aired? This attention to detail, in combination with the placement of objects so as to make a home harmonious, are the keys to evoking in the buyer that sense of security and longing that triggers the decision to buy. Everyone sells their home one day, but this book reminds us not to wait until that moment to pull things together. Its suggestions for selling are equally good guidance for daily living. Feng Shui practices are meant to add consciousness to our lives in our households - and this is a welcoming presentation of theory, practice and anecdote to make that transition an enjoyable and enlivening one.
Rating: Summary: The Bottom Line... Review: Okay, here's the bottom line: I bought the book. My house had been on the market for four months. I had tried everything (lowered the price twice), fired one agent, hired another, offered incentives, I was about ready to pray to some Catholic saint in charge of selling homes and my real estate agent said, "buy this book." So I did. I did the stuff the quack author recommended (cost me about $$$ and two days of my time) and four days later, the first person to see the house after I made the changes, wrote an offer for full price. I'm not into miracles. Guess that does not matter. The house is now sold. That's the bottom line. Do I recommend this book? Only if you want to sell your house.
