Rating: Summary: The view from the top. Review: Full Title: Leadership Secrets of the World's Most Successful CEOs : 100 Top Execcutives Reveal the Management Strategies that made their Companies Great. Most CEO's believe that most of their leadership abilities came from experience. And in this small book, the author has asked the CEO's of 100 companies, each a leader in their own market niche, to share their experiences, to try to isolate the one leadership technique that has helped them to increase profitability, help gain market share or whatever the goal was at the time. It seems that each CEO came to power or just after coming to power was faced with a major crisis situation. It was how this situation was handled that provided him with the wealth of experience that he relates here.
Rating: Summary: Leadership Secrets of the Worlds Most Successful CEOs Review: Great concept for a book. Shame there are too many high profile crooked CEOs today. I'll guess that "image" of the greedy arrogant CEO won't help this book sell, which is a shame. How this guy got 100 honest CEOs is quite curious? But he seemed to. I like the way he used so many different types of leaders from government to corporate america to entrepreneurs. The writing which is done in the voice of the CEO is not consistent. Otherwise totally worth reading. Read some survey about CEOs and thought the book may be a good find. Couldn't find it in a bookstore though? Maybe it sold out? Or maybe it never sold in?
Rating: Summary: Leadership Secrets of the World's Most Successful CEO's Review: I've read this guy before. He wrote a pr book. Love them both. The idea behind this book is really smart. Some of the CEO's he "profiles" (which it seems like he basically makes them write?) are whiners and losers, but the vast majority have some really interesting insights. IKEA, Hewlett Packard Packard, Xerox, Staples and RCA Music all have seriously smart CEO's (I thought!). A good book. Smart packaging. Good investment for anyone who manages people or wants to!

Rating: Summary: Leadership Secrets of the World's Most Successful CEO's Review: Perfect book on the topic. Honestly I only read two thirds of this book, but based on the way it was written, you can sort of read what you choose to and disregard the rest. The author got 100 big names and companies. It's a pretty impressive list of CEO's. Absolutely worth reading!
Rating: Summary: Leadership Secrets of the World's Most Successful CEO's Review: Thankfully I no longer have to read long books by one CEO! How the author got 100 honest CEOs is beyond me. But he did. 100 real good ones! I'm a middle manager with 155 people who report to me and this book was very very helpful and gave me some great food for thought.
Rating: Summary: Leadership Secrets of the World's Most Successful CEO's Review: This book is like the Hall of Fame for Smart CEOs and advice. Easy read. Great little bits of inspiring insightful and valuable information. Information cuts right to the chase. Highly recommend this one!
Rating: Summary: Leadership Secrets of the World's Most Successful CEO's Review: This is a great book. There's 100 different fairly short real life stories direct from a real impressive group of CEOs. I run a department of 65 people and am floored by how much I picked up that I can use from one book. The IKEA boss has a great chapter. She seemed like a great role model. So did William Lauder and the guy who runs RCA. Some of the chapters were a bit thin, but for the most part awesome book and take home value!
