Rating: Summary: Excellent! Review: As a career counselor who has helped hundreds of students and career transitioners market themselves through their resumes, I constantly refer to this book for layout and content ideas. The resume is often the first impression a potential employer has of a candidate and it can be the difference between getting an interview or not. This book has great examples of how to showcase one's skills & experience in an easy-to-read, attractive manner. It's the most used book on my book shelf!
Rating: Summary: Don't Even Bother Review: I am an executive recruiter and a partner at one of the largest search firms in the world, and will tell you that you should save your money on any or all of these resume guides... Save yourself money, a ton of paper and a library of useless books...
Rating: Summary: Almost Perfect Review: I really love how the book has layouts for even the oddest job and for people who have experience, but as a recent grad from college and not having a whole lot of experience in the workforce, I found it to be not as helpful as I'd had hoped it to be.
Rating: Summary: Highly Recommended! The best book on resume I know. Review: I teach a seminar to clients of the Texas Workforce Commission. Yana's books are the best on resumes I have seen, and I review a lot of resume books. She is direct, inspiring and right on target. I know from experience that what she suggests works because I have seen so many people be successful after they understand the concept of targeted, relevant resumes. Do yourself a favor. Buy the book.

Rating: Summary: Gotta Get It! Review: If you have can buy only one book on resumes, it should be this one. It is written in a commonsense, easy to read manner. As an Employment Service Specialist for a county Employment Center and Welfare to Work program, I have used her ideas and examples with great success with clients whose work history has been spotty as well as professionals who drop by our center for help with their resumes. I use it as a training tool with new staff. Another of Parker's books - Blue Collar & Beyond is a great guide for those jobs that may be not have traditionally required resumes. I have acquired many resume writing books for our library and Ms. Parker's are by far the most useful. May I also invite you to look over her web-site for excellent ideas and info
