Summary: Get aligned !
Review: The process that Ken so interestingly describes in his book has been very effective in getting the members of my organization aligned with our mission and goals. Since we used Ken's process, I've seen them take initiative and emphasize what we're all about. In short, they now "walk the talk", and its made a big difference. Thanks to Ken for helping us lead the values way!

Summary: Quick read...long lasting results.
Review: This book is a parable about a CEO whose company has lost sight of it's core values. Like most companies, they have their corporate values prominently displayed throughout their offices. Unfortunately for this CEO, the values belong to him and do not represent the values of the organization. As a leader, if you want your people to buy into a set of values, they have to be their values in order to take full ownership.

This book gives every leader a guide for developing a set of core values which everyone in the organization can embrace. Take it from a CEO who was like this books main character. Since developing our "new" core values, my team has a clearer sense of how we conduct ourselves, both personally and professionally.

I'll leave you with this thought; "What is it you like to do when you're not at work"? Can you answer this question about the people you work closely with? If not, this book is for you!
